Trivia
- Played at Parkhead, before 3000 spectators.
- The visitors were without several of their usual team, but very fair substitutes had been provided.
Review
From the first the Dumbarton had to act on the defensive, but the Celts, although playing with considerable dash, were erratic in their shooting, as the first period was nearly completed when Dowds managed to put on a point. On resuming, the home team came away with a rush, but the ball was well returned. A second time the Celts got on to the ball, and McLaren, who was playing very consistently, scored with a good shot. After some fast play Galbraith put the ball through for Dumbarton. The game towards the close was played in darkness, and Lindsay just on the call of time put on a lucky point for the visitors. A fast game ended in a draw of two goals each.
