Sunderland v Celtic – Played at Parkhead before 12,000 spectators. It was a fast game, but occasionally rough. Macmahon of the Celtic got hurt, and retired after half an hours’ play. No goals were scored in the opening period. In the second half the Celts played with ten men, and were kept busy defending. Hannah scored for Sunderland in ten minutes. Sunderland, scoring twice afterwards, won by three goals to none.
