From a Newspaper Report at the time
King’s Park were a man short at the start, and in the first five minutes the Celtic scored their first goal. Porterfield saved twice, but was beat at the third attempt.
King’s Park rqualised in a remarkable manner. Wilson, got the ball and centred , and Jerry Reynolds, in attempting to put the ball past, headed it through his own goal.
Cassidy gave the visitors the lead a few minutes later, and King’s park again equalised through McIntyre, but the referee disallowed the point, to the great chagrin of the home team.
Half-Time score – Celtic, 2 goals; King’s Park, 1 goal.
Six minutes after crossing over Lees added a third goal for the Celts, Porterfield making a good attempt to save.
Twelve minutes later the same player added a fourth with an easy shot.
McIntyre later on added a second point for Stirling.
Lees, near the close, added a fifth for the Celtic.
A well contested game ended – Celtic, 5 goals; King’s Park, 2.
