Davie Adams (centre) at Dundee 26 November 1910.
Celts lost 1-0 having a goal chalked off after scoring just as final whistle blew. Most fans left the ground thinking it was a draw.
As a footnote to the goalie’s jersey tweet and the Celtic goal chalked off supposedly scored after the final whistle. The referee was a Dundee supporter and it drew some comment in the papers. Ah! 100 yrs ago but it seems it was ever thus.
McFarlane scored at the end, but then Quinn equalised, but the referee was adamant that full time had been reached when the ball was in mid air. Many of the crowd left the ground thinking that the score was 1-1! Mr Mark may have been a Dundee supporter but was currently living in Glasgow according to The Glasgow Herald.
