Match report from The Scotsman, 7th May 1913
At Cathkin Park, Glasgow, last might, Third Lanark and Celtic met in the second round of the Glasgow Charity Cup competition. The weather was fine, and there were about 6000 spectators. In the first half Connolly, after missing an opening goal, beat Brownlie, who had run out to meet him. After the interval Loney equalised from a penalty [sic], and soon afterwards Third lanark broke away and Flannery opened the scoring for the home team. Celti, however, maintained their lead to the end. Result: Celtic two goals; Third Lanark, one goal. Drawings. £166, all in.
