WANING AND WINNING
It may be said of the Celtic that they were a waning and a winning team against Dundee. Much of the old forward skill was in evidence, sufficient at least to mystify three most resolute half-backs, but there was a lack of pace and virility, a listlessness at goal, that told of abandoned training, of trades resumed. Yet even when favoured with the wind Dundee were no match for opponents who had to depend upon craft for success, and in the closing stages the visitors were completely outplayed.
