Match report from The Scotsman, 23rd April 1920
Eight thousand spectators witnessed a keen game at Celtic Park, Glasgow, last night, when St Mirren succeeded in dividing with Celtic. On the run of the game Celtic should have won easily, but the visitors’ defence put up a fine game, O’hagan in particular repeatedly saving in brilliant style. Five minutes after the start Lwason opened the scoring for the vistiors, but before the interval McInally equalised and McStay scored from a penalty kick. In the second half the Saints forwards were very nippy, and five minutes from the finish a fine run resulted in Thomson getting the equaliser.
