Match report from The Scotsman, 13th October 1920

At Parkhead, Glasgow, yesterday, 5000 spectators witnessed Celtic gain an easy victory over Celtic in a League match. Celtic had the major portion of the play all through, and the Falkirk defence were kept continually on the move. In five minutes, McInally ran through and opened the scoring, and later clever play by the centre enabled McLean to notch a second goal. Before the interval McInally added a third goal. Early in the second half McNair, when hard pressed, passed back to Shaw, but Agnew rushed in before the goalkeeper could clear and netted. Cassidy scored a fourth goal for Celts, and just on the call of time Ferguson saved a penalty kick taken by McStay.

The Glasgow Herald, 13 Oct 1920
Play had been in progress for four minutes when McInally, after running from near mid-field beat Ferguson with a brilliant effort. Four minutes later a pass from the same player enabled McLean to add to the Celtic score, which before the interval was supplemented by another score from McInally. Though Shaw had to deal with several shots from Agnew, Hamilton and Meldrum, Falkirk during this period never looked like reducing Celtic’s lead. The visitors were seen to more advantage after crossing over, when the exchanges were more open and not so one-sided. Ten minutes from time Cassidy counted for Celtic, and shortly afterwards Agnew taking advantage of a slip by McNair, scored for Falkirk. Ferguson on the call of time saved a penalty kick taken by McStay.
