Match report from The Scotsman, 21st March 1921

[…] Some 15,000 spectators saw another tussle between the Celtic and the Heart of Midlothian at Parkhead, Glasgow. The conditions were again not ideal, and changes on both sides robbed the game of some of its interest. The play, however, taken all over was good, and a capital contest was the result of the meeting. Out for revenge, no doubt, the Parkhead men were the first to settle, and with Gallagher as untiring as ever the Heart of Midlothian defence got plenty to do. Of the two custodians, Kane was certainly kept the busier, and gave a capital display. Midway through the first half a penalty was granted against Crossan, and McStey [sic] scored the only goal of the half. Then the Celtic quite merited their lead. The second half was barely entered upon when Ramage, handling, led to another penalty being given, and from it McStey [sic] also scored. Then the game took a distinct turn in the Hearts' favour, and first Miller and then Sharp scored. There was plenty excitement then. Near the finish Cassidy obtained a third and winning goal for the Parkhead side.
