[…] Raith Rovers added to the Celtic discomfiture by beating them at Kirkcaldy and preventing them scoring, despite the fact the Celtic team obtained a penalty early in the second half. Both of the Raith goals gave Shaw no chance. J. Duncan was the marksman in both instances, although Jennings had a big share in the second score. Throughout the first part of the game Raith Rovers were much the superior side, and only in the second half did the Celtic show a glimpse of their traditional form. On merit the Rivers deserved their win. Up to the present they have beaten their previous points' record in the League.
