[…] At Glasgow yesterday, Celtic had to play hard to get the better of Morton by a goal. The play throughout was fast and keenly contested, and only twenty minutes remained for play, when McLean succeeded in driving the into the net. The Morton forwards put up a fine game, especially in the first half, when McKay and French were unfortunate not to get the better of Shaw. In the later stages of the game Celtic played with great confidence, and only the resolute defence of Thorpe, Allan, and Wright kept them from increasing their lead.
