The Glasgow Herald – Mon 17 Dec, 1923
Celtic were first to settle, and hand the better of the exchanges in the first half, but it was only after 40 minutes play that McFarlane opened the scoring with a header. Play ruled even for half an hour after the resumption, when Ferrier equalised and four minutes from the close Cassidy gave Celtic the lead.
