The Glasgow Herald – Apr 7, 1924
Both Shaw and Nisbet were repeatedly tested in the first half, but neither goalkeeper was beaten, there being no scoring before the interval. In the second period Celtic had the better of matters, Gallagher opening the scoring by beating Nisbet from short range. Ten minutes from the end Connolly scored the second goal, and the third was added by Cassidy.
