Rangers Fall…It was altogether a more savoury and stimulating contest at Celtic Park, where Celtic by soundly thrashing Motherwell, earned, in addition to well-won points the distinction of becoming the only unbeaten side in the Senior Division. Mothewell fell below expectations, but at their best it is improbable that they would have withstood the bewildering and clever footwork of the Celtic half-backs and forwards, who gave another captivating display, crowned again by exceptional shooting on the part of McGrory, their centre forward, who once more scored three goals.

Celtic opened strongly, and in seven minutes from the start McGrory opened the scoring. Motherwell were kept on the defensive for a long time and a second goal was scored by McGrory. Mothewell attacked and repeatedly tested Shaw, but without success. After change of ends the visitors gave the Celtic defence some trouble, but  in 13 minutes the home side broke away for Gallagher to secure the third goal. Near the finish McGrory beat McClory again.
