Review
TicTacTic's blog is quite a great example of progress for Celtic and Scottish forums. Since the release of the seminal book "Inverting the Pyramid" by Jonathan Wilson, there has been a greater appreciation and respect for the analysis of team tactics and formations. Admittedly, some devotees go a little too far and can't see the bigger picture, but there is a lot to be said for it and the best teams emphasise its importance greatly.
TicTacTic has applied the same tools with respect to Celtic, and he regularly writes a good intelligent analysis on the Celtic tactics, formation and execution of play. It's a more cerebral take on viewing the match instead of some of the ramblings you can get on various forums and sites, and is very welcome. Provides another platform on which Celtic fans can assess the team and its state of play. As he puts it, the blog is a "Critical analysis of all things Celtic".
It's an exceptional blog, and we highly recommend it to everyone. May not necessarily suit everyone with its more strategic and academic look at football, but in fairness the writing style makes it very accessible to anyone no matter what level of knowledge about the game they may have.
Whatever people's opinion are on the simple beautiful game, the boom in this new style of football reporting and discussion is here to stay, and TicTacTic has helped to bring this new methodology to Celtic and a great job he has done of it so far.
