CAPACITY: Approx. 8,000.
CELTIC ALLOCATION: Approx 6,000 – Everything but the main stand, and probably even then some of that!

DIRECTIONS
BY CAR: From Glasgow, follow the signs for Stirling up the M80 and A80. If coming from the south, then you want the M74 & M73 which will get you onto the A80. Both routes have a choice here. Either get off immediately after the M73 merge at Moodiesburn and go through Westfield, or continue on to the Cumbernauld cut off and follow the signs for the B8048 (Kilsyth/Kirkintilloch). From the North take the A9 to the M80, from the east take the M9 to the M876 and onto the M80. Continue onto the A80 and get off at Cumbernauld. Follow the A8011 through Cumbernauld and just before it merges back with the A80 follow the signs for the B8048. The Stadium is off a big roundabout and you can't really miss it as there's nothing else there. PLEASE NOTE: Avoid the Auchinkilns Roundabout at all costs! Its bad enough normally, but they're in the process of removing it and the roadworks are a nightmare. Unless you're coming from Airdrie up the A73, in which case you've probably not much choice.
BY BUS: The bus station is in Cumbernauld Town centre. Your best bet is either get a supporters bus, or apparently the 36A and the X3 go to Westfield, which is much closer than the town centre.
BY TRAIN: Croy – 15-20 minutes from the stadium, and you'll probably get lost. Seriously, don't bother, they don't believe in trains out this way.
PARKING: You can get parked in the car parks around the stadium, but it'll probably cost you a couple of quid. Unfortunately, there's almost no street parking so you don't really have much choice.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Tumbleweed. Seriously, if there's a stadium further from a town centre than Broadwood then I don't know of it. Broadwood is actually in the middle of nowhere.
Three stands. They were going to build a fourth one behind the North goal, but the SPL criteria was lowered to 6000 for Caley Thistle and now they're not gonna bother.
Not much in the way of home fans. I was at a St Johnstone match here in 2003/04 and they got them all into the main stand. In 2004/05, Falkirk fans had two of the three stands themselves as Clyde beat them 3-0 in the cup. Both times I walked into the home end and sat next to the tunnel behind the home dugout.
No songs. In the two games, I must have heard them sing one song. Ironically, slagging the Falkirk fans for only having one song.
The cold. It can be a bit of a wind tunnel.
A loch! Broadwood Loch can be found beyond the South Stand, and if its sunny it has a nasty habit of reflecting the light into your eyes!
SAD TRIVIA
Clyde moved to Broadwood in 1994 after spending three seasons groundsharing with Hamilton Academicals. Prior to that they were Celtic's closest neighbours, playing their home games at Shawfield Stadium. Long ago, they even played their games at Barrowfield, which is now used by Celtic for training purposes.
Broadwood is apparently the highest ground in Scotland.
Cumbernauld is the second worst town in the UK, according to a guide of the worst towns in Britain. I'd hate to see Hull – it was the worst.
Cumbernauld was also the setting for the film "Gregory's Girl". If you think it looked bad then, you should see it now. Its actually got worse. Although it defence of Cumbernauld, they're working on it. Honest.
Rangers play their reserve (and U19 games against us) at Broadwood.
TIM FRIENDLY PUBS
I have no idea if the Brewers Fayre lets away fans in. Its the most obvious choice as its across the road from the main stand.
There's rumoured to be pubs in the housing estates, if you're brave enough to go into that maze!

PUBS TO AVOID
Most of the ones in the town centre. Any of them ones I've been in are rubbish, and they'll all be miles from the ground anyway
