Background
Gained popularity in 2018, after the Celtic tannoy playing the music after a 1-0 win over Sevco in Sep 2018 with the whole stadium singing along. The match was on a Sunday and came after a period of intense criticism of the board, team and manage over recent weeks (poor transfer window, knocked out of Champions League qualifiers etc). So this win was big and the song encapsulated relief and a rejuvenation.
Previously sung sporadically across the Celtic support, such as by the Green Brigade. Been a song sung by some other supports, notably Dundee Utd fans in the past.
Song is from the 1970s and was written & sung by Daniel Boone, and was a bit of a one hit wonder song back in its day.
