Lennoxtown | Celtic Park | About Celtic |
The Celtic players who began training at the club's multi-million pound Lennoxtown training complex in October 2007 were not actually the first Bhoys to have a run out in the Hoops on the Dunbartonshire site.
That honour fell to a Celtic 'A' side who turned up to take on a Lennox Hospital XI in February 1937 in a game to mark the opening of a new football pitch on the hospital site. The Celtic team featured Matt Lynch and Johnny Divers. Little did anyone know then what a massive part the hospital site would play in the future of the club.
Below is a picture of the two teams before kick-off.
