Match report from The Scotsman, 29th April 1920
At Parkhead last night Celtic gained a narrow victory over the Airdrieonians before 6000 spectators. On a heavy ground the game was remarkably fast throughout, and the football served up was of a high standard. Celtic were slightly the superior team throughout, but in the closing stages the visitors made a strong effort to draw level. Shaw, however, brought off two smart clearances from James Reid and A. Reid. The Celtic forwards were the more dangerous at close-quarters. Twenty-three minutes after the opening McKay scored the only goal of the match.
