Match report from The Scotsman, 27th October 1920
Albion Rovers gave their best display of the season yesterday, when they beat Celtic at Parkhead, Glasgow, in the postponed League game, by two goals. Celtic had the major portion of the play, but when it came to scoring they were completely out of it. The Celtic forwards adopted the close passing game, whereas the Rovers forwards, well led by Reid, kept the ball moving freely, and showed spendidly wing-to-wing play. After twenty-five minutes’ play Hillhouse got past McNair, and running in lifted the ball over Shaw’s head into the net. Five minutes from the interval the same player accepted a cross from Bennett and scored a second goal. In the second half the Celtic made a big effort to improve matters, but could make nothing of the Rovers’ sterling defence. Attendance, 15,000.
