A history of the wee book in pictures.
For a written history see: Season Tickets.
As a club we are pretty fortunate to have our own first season ticket out there somewhere. Could not have picked a better name from our history, well maybe Walfrid or even John Glass.
Though we could not have picked a better name, a theory we have had is that this ticket did not belong to our first Honorary President and it actually belonged to his father; we would like to think it was, given that he died less than 3 weeks after the Celtic first team kicked their 1st ball.
The theory is that the ticket would have said Dr. John Conway and not just plain “Mr”.
Also, although we have no evidence that Doctor John’s father was actually involved in the founding of Celtic, we do read that he was one of the most spirited Catholics of his day.

Comically to differentiate the rail seating/standing area tickets from the stands, the club issued blue season tickets to those respective supporters. There was mostly amusement with the expected odd bit of outrage from the few, but showed a lack of nous from whoever ordered this and sent it out!
