New Arrivals and debuts this season:-
John Kennedy – young Irish 'keeper signed the previous season made his one representative Celtic appearance in the League Cup on the 22/9/65 against Raith Rovers
Joe McBride – top scorer for the season and the perfect signing.
Michael McGowan – a young inside forward signed from St Roch's
George Connelly – taken on the groundstaff from Tuliallan Thistle and started to make a name as a goal scorer in the Reserves
Henry Quinn – another young inside forward plucked when released by St Mirren. He was released at the end of the season but would go on to a career with Clyde and Dundee Utd.
Bent Martin – Danish goalkeeper seen in the ECWC at Aarhus, invited for a trial and given a full contract. Reserve team goalkeeper.
Departures:
Jim Kennedy – had been a Scotland internationalist and stand-in captain the previous season but found himself out in the cold this season. Departed to captain Morton
John Divers – started the season in contention but fell out of the first team set up and released. He went on to join Partick Thistle.

Celtic also had 4 Brazilian trialists at the start of the season: centre forward Marco di Sousa, inside forward Ayrton Inacio, wing half Jorge Farah and inside forward Fernando Consul.
