The Glasgow Herald – Aug 18, 1919
A Promising Debutant
The Celts appear to have secured in McInally a worthy successor to Quinn. To score three goals on a first appearance is certainly promising, particularly as no other Celtic forward got the better of McTurk, whose saving of other splendid shots from McInally was the feature of the Clydebank defence. Livingstone rather disappointed, but Watson made an excellent partner for Gallagher, and without approaching their normal form the champions were quite two-goals the better side. Brander’s absence from the visiting team affected both sections, as Walker had to be taken out of the defence, and the veteran was none too successful as an attacker. At full strength and on their own ground, Clydebank, on the form shown at Parkhead, will hold their own in the best company.
