Review
Celtic broke the run of overpowered games against Rangers and looked the better team by far. The key to the win was the dominant play of the half-back line of John McPhail, Willie Corbett and Pat McAuley. McPhail and McAuley in particular made their direct opponents of Gillick and Thrnton look jaded.
