Celtic field a reserve team and win comfortably. 18 year old Pat McCluskey played his second game at left half and impressed the travelling fans. This game proved just revenge for the defeat suffered the previous season. Evan Williams starte din goal but was injured in the 77th minute. Though he was able to continue he was subbed by John Fallon.
