Trivia
- Celtic offered to appluad new champions Rangers on to the field but this was vetoed by the Police.
- Game postponed from 13th March 1976.
Review
In the first minute Greig cleared off the line from Edvaldsson and in the second half Dalglish just missed with a header from a Tommy Burns cross. These were the only events worthy of comment.
Youngsters Burns and Aitken coped well in their first big derby game and McGrain and Johnstone were the best men on the park for either team. They are favourites to win the Scottish player of the year award but John Greig is a surprise winner on May 10th.
