Trivia
- An unchanged side for Celtic again.
Review
With neither side having anything to play for it was little surprising that only 6,500 turned up to watch the game.
QotS picked up an early goal from a free kick. Chalmers first goal came from a goalkeeping error. With half an hour gone an infringement by Irving gave Celtic a penalty. As MacKay had stepped down from penalty-taking duties Charlie Gallacher slammed the ball home to put Celtic in front.
In the second half Chalmers added another goal before Gardner pegged one back before the end.
And thus ended another stultifying poor performance in the League Cup
