The Victory In Europe Cup was won by Celtic on May 9 1945.
To celebrate the end of hostilities on the European continent in 1945 the Glasgow Charity Cup committee presented the Victory in Europe Cup which would be awarded to the winners of a charity cup final.
Rangers were invited to participate but declined as they had a forthcoming cup tie against Motherwell. This allowed Queens Park to step in and play Celtic.
